Eight Treasures Tea - Rosebud
Eight Treasure tea is a legendary component in Sichuan tea drinking culture. The number 8 is symbolic for the many ingredients that make up the tea, of which there are actual tea leaves, dried chinese herbs and fruit as well as small pieces of rock sugar. The resulting tea is a wonderful and balanced sweet blend that is especially fitting for drinking alongside hot and spicy Sichuan food! The tea is traditionally served in Gaiwans (lidded cups) and constantly refilled by skilled servers wielding meter long neck pots of boiling water while putting on a show of dangerous dancing and courage. This specific blend of Eight Treasure Tea has an extra touch of rosebud in the blend. - Tea comes already portioned in single serving quantities Tea Pot Everyone has a large teapot for serving guests a simpler form of tea, so it is good to know that it is still just as useful for certain high-quality Chinese teas. mouse over icons to see instructions Instructions: For gongfu-style tea tasting, first empty the contents of one pouch (usually about 6g-worth for a Gaiwan-sized vessel or small glass).
