Yellow Mountain Maofeng -A
It is difficult to carry such a wide variety of teas and at the same time illustrate a particular appreciate for one type or region over another. Yet, we can easily say that we have an intense love for all of the quality green teas originating in the Yellow Mountains of Anhui province; locally known as Huang Shan. The Maofeng-style green tea produced in the higher ranges of these mountains carries an unmistakeable smokiness and sweetness that is very hard to find in other clean steeping greens. The unusual aroma contains notes of citrus and honey that are well blended into the smoky high-notes. Truly a tea to appreciate! Glass Most would never associate a small glass with Chinese tea-making, but it truly is the most ideal vessel for teas that you must see to appreciate (greens, whites etc..) mouse over icons to see instructions Instructions: For gongfu-style tea tasting, first pour in the hot water halfway, then drop in roughly a tablespoon of leaves (usually about 6g for a regular-size Gaiwan or small glass). Then pour on the hot water again and let steep for 15-30 seconds. Decant and serve, or drink straight from the cup! Increase the steeping time gradually with each additional infusion.
