Yunnan Dianhong is possibly one of the most famous black teas throughout China. Not simply because it is a well known and delicious black tea, nor is it especially typical for the tea-type. Yunnan Dianhong tea is an unusually smooth black tea with hints of gold yellow fringing and a taste that gets many tea drinkers confused. The mellowness and subdued richness even in somewhat cheaper grades is an obvious indicator for Yunnan Dianhong. Discard the water and gently pour on the hot water again and let steep for 10-20 seconds. Decant and serve! Increase the steeping time gradually with each additional infusion.
